Chocolate in my Ipod Nano 5th gen? charging doesnt work?

i had my ipod in my bag and i didnt know there was chocolate in it. it was a hot day and it ended up melting, smothering all over and on the inside of my ipod. i got like 90% of the inside clean. the chocolate hardened again and i cleaned it again but when i try to charge it, it wont charge. the chargin icon doesn't appear/doesnt even trun on. HELP ME. can i bring it to apple store?
